Kent Fostering Service

Children need foster care for many different reasons. It can be because of illness in their family, relationship problems at home, a family breakdown, or perhaps a situation where their welfare is threatened. Foster care is the highest standard of care for children until they can return to their own family, move onto an alternative permanent family or grow in to adulthood and independence.

Kent is committed to placing children and young people with KCC approved foster families. KCC has developed and invested in a dedicated and comprehensive Fostering Service. This service actively works to meet the required quality standards and the diverse needs of the children who become looked after by KCC and their families.
