What is Private Fostering?

A private fostering arrangement occurs when a child under 16 (or 18 if the child is disabled) is cared for and lives with an adult who is not a relative for 28 days or more.

Savings Accounts for Children in Care

Every Child in Care should have a savings account and two options are currently available.

Independent Reviewing Officers

All children taken into care will be given an Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) whose job is to make sure that the care plan meets the child’s needs and that we are doing everything we should as the Corporate Parent.
