On 19th October we held the fourth annual Post 16 Awards Ceremony to recognise and celebrate the achievements of our young people – the event was a fantastic evening with over 40 young people attending, supported by their friends, carers, social workers and personal advisers. On Thursday 26th October members of the Young Adult Council (YAC) and VSK Apprentices completed a virtual triathlon – running, walking, cycling and rowing from County Hall in Maidstone to Calais and back again. A total of 142 miles!

On the 14th September people from all across Kent gathered for a conference with The Nurture Group Network. On 17th September Virtual School Kent held its 7th annual awards ceremony to celebrate the academic and personal achievements of children in care.
210 young people in care and care leavers received awards at the ceremony attended by carers, social workers, parents and council members. The Nurture Group Network exists to promote the development of nurture groups and to ensure the continuing quality of their delivery through accredited training programmes, research on effective practice, relevant publications and information exchange.
